THE STORY AS I KNOW IT.
Anna Schaedler was born about 1555 probably in Bissingen
an
der Tech, Wurttenberg Germany. Her parents are
unknown.
From church marriage records recorded in Bissingen an der Teck,
Donaukreis,
Wuerttemberg Collection: Lutherisch, and FHS film
1055840.
It dates back to 1580. The German scrip is very hard to
read and of
course it is in German. I now have a
printout from the LDS
set on CD of
Western European Church Records that is easy to
read. The
data in this story comes from that set. Bissingen an der
Teck is a small village south of Stuttgart.
Peter
Holpp married Anna Shaedler on Feb. 1, 1581 in
Bissingen an der Tech. The marriage records
state the
fathers of the bride and groom, unless he or she was
married
before. This record did not include the father of
the
bride. I don't know if Schaedler would have been her maiden name,
or the surname of her first husband. There were two
other Schaedlers being married about the same time:
Peter
and Anna Holpp had the following
children listed in the church record of Bissingen an der Teck:
Hanns Schaedler wed
Anna Gienger Jan
1583, His father was Jerg
Schaedler
Joachim Schaedler wed Maria Schneider May 1583 and
his father was Jerg Schaedler.
Perhaps Jerg was also Anna's father.
1. Elizabeta Holpp christened 1582
2. Georgius Holpp christened
1588
3. Anna Holpp
christened
1591
Six years is a large gap. It
implies a child died sometime between 1582 and 1588.
