Benjamin married Sarah Chambers 1763,11,24 at New Garden Monthly Meeting. She was the daughter of Richard Chambers of New Castle County Delaware. Henshaw Index to Quaker Records of New Garden MM.

They had four children in all. They were:

Mary Gregg, born 1766
Isaac Gregg, born 1770, wed Emy Allon or Allen
Arron Gregg,
born 1771

Joseph Gregg died July 26, 1770 in Chester County PA, He was buried at Old Kennett Meeting House cemetery. His will was proved Oct. 4, 1770 Penn. Wills 1713-1825 file #2586. The will named his wife Hannah, daughter Mary and (Son-in-law John Bason) could be Beeson, She received 5 shillings

Then disaster struck, Benjamin Gregg died in 1774. He was just 38 years old. Sarah appealed to Orphans Court of Chester County PA. Decedents list 1714-1781, naming his minor children George, Mary, Isaac and Aaron. George the eldest would have just been 10 years old.

An Inventory of the estate of Benjamin Gregg, late of Kennet Township, yeoman, died May 5, 1774. The estate papers were made and filed by John Pyle and Benjamin Sharp on Jan. 27, 1777. Chester County Estate Papers #2840. Nearly ten years later an executor's report was made by Sarah Sharp, late Sarah Gregg. After evaluating goods, counted the debts which were paid, there was a balance of 530 pounds.

It is not known where he was buried, but it could have been Old Kennett Meeting House cemetery, but could equally have been at New Garden MM cemetery.

His wife, Sarah obviously married George Sharp. Also recently widowed by Benjamin's first cousin.
